A workplace injury is an injury or illness that is caused by a workplace hazard or activity and includes regular travel to and from work. WorkCover Injuries can include physical injuries such as cuts, burns, and fractures, as well as conditions such as respiratory illnesses or musculoskeletal disorders. Workplace injuries can range from minor to severe, and in some cases can even be fatal.
*The fees for WorkCover injury treatments are covered by the WorkCover insurance system for approved claims. This means you won't have to pay any out of pocket costs once you have a claim number. A claim number can usually be obtained with just a quick phone call during office hours and takes between 5-10 minutes. Invoices are generally sent directly to WorkCover at the time of consultation.

What is urgent care?
Urgent Care provides immediate care for non-life-threatening medical emergencies that will be classed as low acuity in emergency departments but still need to be seen immediately. This includes most common injuries and everyday illnesses.
What are some examples of services provided by Angel Urgent Care?
We are experts in providing immediate medical care by emergency trained nurses and doctors, including:

No appointments or referrals are needed for receiving care at Angel Urgent Care.
We take bookings for selected infusions and selected contraceptive implant insertions.
Please Note: Patients are not seen in order of arrival, but based on urgency and, in times of high demand, wait times may be longer than expected.

When should I visit Angel Urgent Care?
If an injury or illness occurs that is not life-threatening but requires immediate attention. Angel Urgent Care offers immediate care, including treatment for minor falls/trips, complex lacerations, closed fractures, and all sporting injuries, infections, atypical chest pains, shortness of breath, vomiting & diarrhoea, migraines and headaches, mild asthma, and more. When is it NOT suitable to visit Angel Urgent Care?
In cases of serious illness or injury such as unconsciousness, severe chest pain, major accidents, or need for major procedures, please dial 000 or visit your nearest Emergency Department.
We do not replace your GP. We will not manage your long-term medical issues, such as chronic conditions, medication management and monitoring.
Is there radiology and pathology on-site?
We have radiology on-site seven days a week for CT scans and X-rays. We can take bloods on-site. We process high sensitivity troponin on-site and courier others to our nearest pathology provider.
